It is understood that industrial textiles are mainly used in industries, agriculture, infrastructure, medical and health care, environmental protection and other fields. They are an important part of the new material industry and an important direction of high-end textile industry. Space suits, deep-sea ropes and cables in the high-tech field, masks and protective clothing in epidemic prevention and control all belong to industrial textiles.

In the past two years, the industrial textile industry has actively ensured the supply of epidemic prevention materials such as masks and protective clothing, with an average annual growth rate of double digits. At the same time, the development of the industry is also facing new situations, such as tightening factor guarantee, pressure on product export, rising production costs, complex external environment and so on.

The guiding opinions made it clear that accelerating the development of industrial textiles industry is an important starting point for expanding domestic demand, unblocking the circulation of industrial chain and expanding the development space of textile industry. In the next few years, we should actively expand the application of industrial textiles in aerospace, medical and health care, emergency rescue, marine fisheries and other fields. By 2025, the industrial added value of Enterprises above Designated Size will increase by about 6% annually, and three to five enterprises will enter the first echelon of industrial textiles in the world. The ability of scientific and technological innovation has been significantly improved. The R & D funds of key enterprises in the industry account for 3% of the main business income, the application of recycled fiber and biomass fiber accounts for 15%, the NC rate of key processes in nonwovens enterprises reaches 70%, intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing have an obvious effect on improving the quality and efficiency of the industry, and the comprehensive competitiveness of the industry has been further improved.

To achieve this series of goals, scientific and technological innovation is the focus. It is reported that the textile industry will strengthen the research on common basic technologies. Carry out basic research on the spinning, netting and forming of nonwovens, improve the stability of special fiber netting and biodegradable polymer spinning and netting technology, and promote the industrialization of nano and micron fiber nonwovens technology.

The industrial textile industry will also actively cultivate new business forms and models, increase the development of intelligent textiles, and promote intelligent wearable products for sports, medical health and safety protection.

Energy conservation and emission reduction are placed in a more important position. The guiding opinions put forward that we should not only formulate the evaluation index system of energy conservation, emission reduction and cleaner production in the field of nonwovens, but also develop environment-friendly products and promote degradable disposable sanitary products and reusable products.

Over the years, the textile industry has a big but not strong problem, especially in the industrial textile industry. Many high-performance textiles in medical, aerospace and other fields need to be imported. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the whole industry will carry out promotion actions in key areas.

In the aerospace field, efforts will be made to develop high-performance textile composites, including the development of high-strength, high modulus and high toughness composites, aviation grade glass fiber fabrics and their composites, so as to improve the supporting aerospace engineering capacity; Develop flexible textile composites, such as flexible textile composites for airship skin, airship inflatable return cabin and buffer airbag, as well as camouflage materials with multi band compatibility, adaptive environment and dynamic deformation.

In the field of medical and health care, we will promote the clinical trials and demonstration applications of absorbable sutures, artificial blood vessels and hemodialysis materials, accelerate the R & D and application of functional medical textile materials such as hemostasis and antibacterial, and strengthen the R & D and research of degradable materials, integrated woven covered stents and other products.
